“After more than a years work researching Le Roman Du Lievre, and after producing a variety of books, prints, and other works, along with the completion of an initial translation of the novel itself, Riordan has left London returning to the city of his birth, Anchorage, Alaska, where he has begun preparing and planning for a group show intended to illustrate his translation of Jammes’ text. Each artist involved will receive a copy of Riordan’s translation and will be asked to respond to the text through there own preferred medium. Involving artists he has met during his time in London, New York and Anchorage, the show, entitled Le Roman Du Lievre: Marginalia, is tentatively planned for the fall of 2009 and will be curated by Leslie Stumpf”

supposedly 56 artists will contribute to this event, working in a wide variety of media. i’ll be playing drums along with galen nolan (bass) in a piece written by stephan koweluk (guitar). riordan has mastered the alchemy of melding wreckless abandon with creative drive, and the eclectic works crafted by the ad hoc army of artists his work has inspired will be a testament to his success.
